Short Facts
The Glocknerman is a non-stop Extremcycling event and also the Ultracycling world championship.
Non-Stop: After start the stop watch doesn't stop, (sleeping) pauses are counted as active time.
The Race is a singe time race - slipstreaming ist forbidden (except within a team)!

Three different routes exist:
- Glocknerman ULTRA: Ultra-route (2x Großglockner and long-distance Lesachtal-route)
- Glocknerman CLASSIC: Classic-route (1x Großglockner and short-distance Lesachtalschleife)
- Glocknerman SPRINT: Sprint-route (Graz and 1x Großglockner)

Der Glocknerman
Glocknerman is the oldest extreme-cycling race in Europe and one of the oldest extreme-races in the world. The event is a great sporting and mental challenge for the participants.
There are three different routes:
- Sprint
- Classic
- Ultra
Men under the age of 50 can also start on the Classic route after prior consultation with the organization, but they drive outside the World Championship.
Rennbesonderheiten
Sprint drivers are also welcome. Since the sprint finish is on the Edelweissspitze most drivers do not return to Graz, therefore no costs for the tickets were taken into the starting fee. Tickets can however be purchased at the check-in.
Accommodations
Period of restriction
In order to be able to successfully complete the Glocknerman, the race must be completed within the period of restriction. The respective periods of restriction are available under Documents.
Information and preparation
Via the homepage and via the login area all information are available for the participants. The user area is exclusive for all already registered participants, where regularly documents and information are available during the preparation period. Important questions are also available under the Frequently asked questions (FAQ). You can also contact the organization team at any time. All information are provided in German and in English.
Before the start of the Glocknerman a trainingcamp takes place, in which parts of the route are used.
Navigation
The navigation is done at Glocknerman through the roadbook provided by the race organization as well as through the .gpx files for the respective devices. The participants will receive the roadbook at check-in. All routes data are available online in advance.

Further Mealvouchers, or vouchers for the Großglockner high alpine road can be bought at the check-in.
Tracking
The Tracking of the athletes is performed by an Android app.The smartphone is located in the Pace-Car. The App has to be installed prior to the Race by the athlete. The athlete can use a Android Smartphone or a Android Tablet with a SIM slot. If the athlete is not from austria, the device has to be ready for all networks (no SIM-lock).
- While the race a power supply has to be provided all time.
- The use of the smartphone for other purposes (make a phone call, surf the web) is not allowed (except for timestation-reporting).
- GPS and mobile data have to be turned on all time.
